FAQs
What can I expect from my hypnotherapy sessions? what does my session include?
For your first visit, we will begin by discussing in more detail what you hope to achieve through your sessions with me — what is your primary and most prominent goal? From there, I will tailor our sessions to suit your specific needs. Every session will include a full hypnosis portion, with therapeutic suggestions specific to you. Each subsequent visit builds on your primary goal, to form a strong foundation of positive changes. You can expect to feel more relaxed during and after your session, and most recipients report that they feel more uplifted and positive after.
Will i lose control of myself during hypnosis?
First and foremost, the hypnotherapy I practice is for the purpose of progressing you on your healing path. This is not stage hypnosis; you will not cluck like a chicken with the snap of my fingers. While as a client you will be guided verbally into a state of deep relaxation, you are always in full control. You can stir yourself to full alertness at any time. You will only ever share what you are willing and comfortable sharing during your session. Due to the deepened states of relaxation you reach, you may not remember or be able to focus on every single word I say to you during the hypnosis — however, all of my work is coming from a positive place and a desire to help. You are always in complete control.

What can’t be treated with hypnotherapy?
I am not qualified to treat individuals with serious psychiatric or mental health problems, and will suggest seeking a qualified psychotherapist or psychologist in those cases. If you are currently taking prescribed medication for mental health, I may require a letter of permission to work with you from your prescribing doctor. If you have any illnesses to do with the physical body, it is advised that you seek medical attention from a primary care physician or specialist, if needed. Drug addiction, family dynamic disorders, clinical depression and other such problems need to be treated by doctors and psychiatrists, who can, at their discretion, suggest hypnotherapy as a supplemental treatment. If you are under the influence of mind-alternating drugs and/or alcohol at the time of your visit, I reserve the right to dismiss the session.
What if i can’t be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is the process of inducing stages of deep relaxation, and is a natural state of mind. This means that most people have experienced some form of hypnotic state at some point in their life — possibly, without even realizing it. Have you ever been so involved in a book or movie, that you aren’t aware of someone trying to speak to you? In that moment you were in a state similar to hypnosis. In truth, it’s not a matter of can you be hypnotized, it’s a matter of how long it takes for you to relax. I make sure, in each session, to give your mind and body the time they need to find a deep relaxation.
